Evacuation Order issued for Old Fort area

Current situation

The Peace River Regional District (PRRD) has issued an Evacuation Order for the Old Fort area due to landslide. This landslide is creating a significant risk to life and safety. Sections of Old Fort Road have been destroyed.

The road remains closed to the public and road access to Old Fort is no longer considered safe. An Evacuation Alert is also in effect for areas west and north of the Evacuation Order.

Emergency Support Services (ESS) are available for evacuated residents of Old Fort. Only residents who are in the Evacuation Order area are eligible for ESS.

Evacuation Alert in effect for specific properties: southern portions of 7069 265 Road, 9909 and 9911 240 Road; and an area west of Evacuation Order #1 along Old Fort Road, extending 235 metres wide and 150 metres north, including 7711 and 7587 Old Fort Road. Evacuation Order #1 remains in effect for all properties east of, but not including, 7711 Old Fort Road.
