Evacuation Order DOWNGRADED to Evacuation Alert for Old Fort area

Current situation
The Peace River Regional District has DOWNGRADED the Evacuation Order for the Old Fort landslide area to an Evacuation Alert. The alert area for Evacuation Alert #2 includes properties east of, but not including, 7711 Old Fort Road.
Construction of a temporary access surface across the landslide area is now complete and Old Fort Road has reopened.
Evacuation Alert #2 and Evacuation Alert #1 are in place as a precaution until permanent road access is established across the landslide area.
Emergency Support Service renewals for Old Fort residents will be available on Thursday, June 11, between 5 to 7 pm at the Pomeroy Sports Centre (second floor, East lobby) 9324 96 Street, Fort St. John. For ESS information, visit the Peace River Regional District Emergency Support Service (ESS) feed.
