Evacuation Order issued for Old Fort area

Current situation
The Peace River Regional District has issued an Evacuation Order for the Old Fort area due to landslide. This landslide is creating a significant risk to life. The coordinated evacuation access period on Monday night has now ended.
The road remains closed to the public and road access to Old Fort is no longer considered safe.
Evacuate to Pomeroy Sports Centre located at 9324 96th Street, Fort St. John. ESS will be available until midnight Monday at the sports centre.

BC EMERGENCY ALERT issued by the Peace River Regional District due to the Old Fort landslide.
Immediately prepare to evacuate if you are in Old Fort.
Old Fort Road will temporarily open tonight at 9pm for 1-2 hrs.
This is the only evacuation time, the road will not reopen again.
Supports and Emergency Services will not be provided for those who do not evacuate.
