The Peace River Regional District has issued an Evacuation Alert for some properties in the Old Fort area due to landslide. Anyone in the affected area must be ready to leave on short notice.
The nearby Evacuation Order remains in place.
Recommended actions

Follow all directions from officials:
If you are in the area under Evacuation Alert, be ready to leave on short notice.
Wait for an Evacuation Order to be issued before evacuating. Monitor www.prrd.bc.ca for information on evacuation orders and location of Reception Centres.
Arrange transportation for all your household members. Fill the gas tanks of personal vehicles. If transportation assistance is needed, call 1-800-670-7773.
