Evacuation Order EXPANDED for Big Bar Lake and Meadow Lake areas

Current situation
The Thompson-Nicola Regional District has EXPANDED the Evacuation Order in the Big Bar Lake and Meadow Lake areas. This wildfire poses a threat to life and safety. Everyone in the impacted area must evacuate NOW.
Impacted areas are as follows:
- All properties around Big Bar Lake, including the campground at Big Bar Lake Park
- 2340 to 4010 Big Bar Rd
- 880 to 1075 Isadore Rd
- 1792 to 2264 Marriot Rd
- 3629 to 3655 Sharptail Rd
- 4385, 4405, and 4415 Big Bar Rd
- 2760 and 2769 Dog Creek Rd
- 1876 to 1948 Lake Dr
- 3380 to 3600 Meadow Lake Rd
- Any other properties as outlined on the map
Anyone being newly evacuated near Meadow Lake should travel east to Highway 97 on Meadow Lake Road.

Follow all directions from officials:
If you are in the area under Evacuation Order, you are at risk. You must leave immediately.
Evacuate following this route(s):
If safe to do so, proceed east on Big Bar Road to Highway 97. If the fire has reached Big Bar Lake Road and it is unsafe to travel east, evacuees can travel west on Big Bar Road and travel out of the area through either Meadow Lake to the north or Jesmond to the south.
