Evacuation Order issued for South Chilcotin Mountains area

Current situation

The Squamish-Lillooet Regional District has issued an Evacuation Order for the South Chilcotin Mountains area in Electoral Area A due to the Bonanza Creek (K71082) wildfire. This wildfire is a threat to life & safety. Anyone in the area must leave NOW.

The Evacuation Order is in effect for the following area:

  • SLRD properties northwest, north, and northeast of Tyaughton Lake Road, including Mud Lake Road,
  • Areas within the South Chilcotin Mountains Provincial Park, including Spruce Lake and other recreation sites,
  • All other areas as outlined in the attached map.

Evacuate east via the Lillooet-Pioneer Rd (Highway 40) towards Lillooet or south via the Hurley River FSR towards Pemberton
