Evacuation Alert issued for Nahatlatch & North Boothroyd

Current situation

The Fraser Valley Regional District has issued an Evacuation Alert for the Nahatlatch and North Boothroyd areas due to the Brunswick Creek and Ainslie Creek wildfires. You are not required to evacuate at this time but you must be prepared to evacuate on short notice. You must prepare yourself and any necessary supplies.

Follow instructions from emergency officials and be prepared to leave immediately if an Evacuation Order is issued.

A travel advisory is in effect for Highway 1. Check DriveBC.ca for the latest updates. The highway may close on short or no notice due to wildfire activity. No stopping along highway. Watch for reduced visibility and road crews.
