Current situation
The Province of British Columbia has ENDED the State of Provincial Emergency, effective August 27, due to regional wildfires. There is no impact to existing States of Local Emergency, Evacuation Orders or Evacuation Alerts.

The most effective way to support people impacted by wildfires is through financial donations to trusted organizations working directly with affected communities.

Recommended actions
If you are in an affected area
- Leave immediately if you are under an Evacuation Order.
- Follow all directions from local emergency officials, RCMP, and emergency personnel.
If you have evacuated
- Register with Emergency Support Services (ESS).
- Stay with family or friends if possible to help preserve emergency accommodation for those most in need.
- Do not return to evacuated areas until authorities declare it safe.
