Current situation
The extended natural gas outage that was impacting parts of Lake Country, North Kelowna, and the Okanagan Indian Band (Duck Lake IR7) has been resolved.
Central Okanagan Emergency Management has deactivated its Emergency Operations Centre.
FortisBC crews have restored service to the majority of customers in the area. They have visited every property and either restored service or left a tag on the door with instructions for customers so they can request a return visit and we will relight their appliances.

Recommended actions

Follow all directions from officials:
Take steps to keep your home warm or seek warmer locations, such as an Emergency Warming Centre or a Public Warming Space.
Never use outdoor equipment indoors, including natural gas or propane heating systems.
If you smell gas or hear the sound of escaping gas, go outside immediately and call 9‑1‑1 or 1‑800‑663‑9911.
