An M7.0 earthquake has occurred 55 miles (88.5 kms) north of Yakutat, Alaska. There is NO Tsunami threat to B.C. This earthquake was felt in nearby regions, including in the western Yukon Territory. Several aftershocks of lower magnitude, up to M5.3, have since occurred in the area.
