Current situation

The Thompson-Nicola Regional District has issued an Evacuation Order due to the Big Bar wildfire complex. Anyone in the affected area must leave NOW.

BC EMERGENCY ALERT issued by Thompson-Nicola Regional District and the Village of Clinton due to wildfire.

Evacuate immediately if you are on Jesmond Road, off of Big Bar Road west of Jesmond Road, or north of Clinton to Chasm, evacuate to Kamloops north via Highway 24. If you are in Clinton or south of Clinton, on Highway 97 to Six Mile Lake, evacuate south on Highway 97 to Kamloops.

The Big Bar Wildfire Complex is creating a significant risk to life.

If you are unable to evacuate call 9-1-1.
