Evacuation Order issued for area near Sikanni Chief Road and Highway 97 to Buckinghorse River

Current situation
The Peace River Regional District has issued an Evacuation Order for the area north of the intersection of Sikanni Chief Road and Highway 97 to Buckinghorse River, including the area West of the Highway along the Sikanni Chief River for 60 km area due to wildfire. Anyone in the affected area must leave immediately.

BC EMERGENCY ALERT issued by Peace River Regional District due to the Pocket Knife Creek Wildfire.
Evacuate immediately if you are in the following area: North of the intersection of Sikanni Chief Rd and Hwy 97 to Buckinghorse River, including the area West of the Hwy along the Sikanni Chief River for 60 km.
The Pocket Knife Creek Wildfire poses a threat to human life.
Evacuate South to Fort St John and register at the Pomeroy Sports Center if you require Emergency Support Services.
If you are unable to evacuate call 9-1-1.
