Emergency Alert: Evacuation due to Battleship Mountain wildfire. September 10, 2022.

Evacuation Area: the entire District of Hudson’s Hope and the area immediately surrounding Farrell Creek Rd, Beryl Prairie Rd, Johnson Creek and Stubley Creek.

An Evacuation Order and an Emergency Alert has been issued by District of Hudson’s Hope and Peace River Regional District due to wildfire. Impacted residents should evacuate the area immediately.

EVACUATION ORDER for wildfire issued by District of Hudson’s Hope and Peace River Regional District with support from EMBC.

The Battleship Wildfire is creating a significant risk to life.

Evacuate to Fort St. John via Hwy 29 immediately!

If you are trapped and unable to evacuate call 911 and report your location ASAP.

If you are in the impacted area and received this alert:

  • Stop what you are doing and follow the directions provided
  • Evacuate to Fort St. John via Hwy 29
  • Follow all instructions from local officials
  • Do not call 9-1-1 for additional information unless you are trapped and unable to evacuate.

This alert was broadcast on TV and radio and to compatible and connected wireless devices in and near the impacted area. These messages are geographically targeted, but may also reach residents in surrounding areas. If you are not in the affected area, disregard this alert.
