Don't get spooked this Halloween! Get prepared

This Halloween, don't feel haunted by potential hazards, natural disasters or demon, vampire, zombie attacks! Instead, share a safety message with Emergency Info BC's Halloween E-cards!

The devil's in the details. What's in your emergency kit?
It's time to scare yourself into action. Get that emergency kit ready! Include emergency supplies for the entire family. Prepare kits for the office, home and car. Connect with your children's teacher and school. Make sure everyone is prepared when and wherever a disaster may strike. Emergency Management BC offers advice on what to include in your kit, in addition to a handy check-list to help get you started.

Not all vampires sparkle! Know the risks. Prepare for disasters.
It's not another young adult novel; real vampires won't hesitate. Is there a risk of evisceration in your community? British Columbia faces a number of potential risks including avalanche, flood, wildfire, tsunami and earthquake, just to name a few. Know the risks in your region. Locate B.C. in Canada's disaster data-base. Help mitigate harm and protect your family from serious emergencies and, shall-we-say, not-so-sparkly vampires!
